View full details“Kaneko Kohyo” was born in October, 1921 at top of a mountain in Oroshichoasho , Toki County, Gifu Prefecture by the attempt of Kohei Itoh.
Although it focused on baking Shinto and Buddhist altar fittings at the beginning of its foundation, production volume of sake bottles (choshi) which was made use of cast molding they are good at was ranked at NO. 1 in Japan in early 1970’s.
They embarked development and production of tableware as household goods since 1995.
Today, they produce earthenware which can be new viewed from people, utilized technique which has been developed by Kohyo kiln and particular characteristics whose baking method in kiln is reduction firing.
