Kagami-biraki, literally meaning ""opening mirror,” is a Japanese traditional celebration on a ceremony or holiday by cracking open a sake barrel with wooden mallets for good opening, a celebration of starting, and making a toast and sharing the sake with people gathered This is a desktop size miniature set of the sake barrel container and mallets.
This is a mosaic tile design based upon Hokusai's famous woodblock print of the Great Wave (“The Great Wave off Kanagawa” - Kanagawa-oki nami ura).
