Delicious sake with Tokkuri :9

Delicious sake with Tokkuri :9

Hi!

It's getting closer to summer isn't it ?

Today, we would like to introduce Sake bottles (We call them Tokkuri in Japanese.)

About Tokkuri(Sake bottle)

A type of container with a thin neck and a bulging bottom.

This is mainly used for pouring sake.

Why we call it Tokkuri?

Because it makes a clicking sound when pouring sake.

Toku Toku...

Why we use Tokkuri?

You can enjoy the aroma and *umami of sake more thoroughly if you transfer it to a Tokkuri and then taste it.

*Umami is called the fifth basic taste. The other four are sweet, salty, bitter and sour. Umami occurs naturally in many foods, like seaweed, shiitake mushrooms, meat and Parmesan cheese. It enhances the flavor of other foods.

It's delicious even if you chill the whole bottle in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours!
