Japanese Cutting Boad

Japanese Cutting Boad

We call the cutting boad "manaita" in japanese.

Do you know the difference between a cutting board and a manaita ?

Both are made of wood but the hardness of the wood is different.

◆Manaita : Soft wood

→ They don't damage the cutting edge of the knife.

◇Cutting boad : Hard wood

→ The cutting edge is scraped.

So, We recommend using them properly!

When you use a Kitchen knife, please use manaita.

When cutting bread or cheese with a bread knife, we recommend

a cutting board!
