Since its founding in 1979, Ouchi Kogei has been manufacturing bamboo tableware, mainly chopsticks, in the Hita region of Oita prefecture. The bamboo used as the material is the thickest type of high-quality Moso bamboo that has grown in the surrounding bamboo grove.Crafted from slender bamboo and designed for effortless usability, these chopsticks feature a diamond-cut top with a simple, color finish. The finely tapered tips—achievable only through skilled handcrafting—allow for precise handling, making it easy to pick out even small fish bones. The red and black versions are exclusive colors designed for Real Japan Project.
