These scissors, called Ikebana-Basami, are made in Banshu region where is famous for production of blades. The item having curled ends of the grip is called “Ikenobo style”, and it is used for cutting branches and stems. It has an acute angle of blades to cut stems without breaking their fibers, which can make flowers absorb water well and live longer. Dry off the item and apply a light coating of oil to the blades after using, which prevents them from rust and keeps them sharp. This item is good for flower arrangement and cutting flowers.
