Among our collection of shuro palm brooms, the 5-Bundle Hand Broom stands as one of the most popular models—highly regarded alongside the larger 7-bundle version.
What makes this hand broom special is its compact size and ease of use, allowing for quick and effortless clean-ups anytime, anywhere.

Its short handle and lightweight design make it ideal for sweeping in tight spaces such as under desks, around furniture, or in rooms filled with small items where a long broom may be difficult to maneuver.

It’s also perfect for entryways, study rooms, or other areas that benefit from a smaller, more agile cleaning tool.

Made from soft, natural shuro (palm) fibers and bound with copper wire, this broom effectively gathers fine dust without scattering it into the air. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Wakayama, Japan—known as the birthplace of traditional shuro broommaking—it combines functionality, durability, and timeless Japanese craftsmanship.

Whether you’re new to traditional Japanese brooms or seeking a compact, sustainable alternative to modern cleaning tools, this 5-bundle hand broom is a perfect everyday companion.

Product Details
Origin: Wakayama, Japan
Size: W9.8 × H29.5 in (approx. 25 × 75 cm)
Weight: 7.7 oz (approx. 220 g)
Material: Shuro (bristles), Bamboo (handle), Copper wire (binding)

How to Use
Because the broom is made from natural palm bark, some fine powder may fall off during initial use. Shake it out thoroughly before first use to remove loose dust. Avoid using it on tatami mats or carpets initially, as the powder may scatter slightly.

Care & Caution
With proper care, a shuro broom can last 10–20 years. Avoid leaning it against a wall to prevent bending the bristles. Instead, hang it by the handle to maintain its shape. Store in a dry, ventilated place after use to prolong its lifespan.
