The casting studio where Mr. Naoki Masuda, a metalworker as well as designer, located in Yamagata city of Yamagata prefecture, produces the Japanese traditional beauty of casting works to fit the modern lifestyle.
For over 900 years of the history of Yamagata casting works creates and is known for the technique called “Usunikubirei” meaning a thin and beautiful surface of ironware.
Based on the belief that “a new tradition develops as crafts to be contemporary and enrich everyday life,” they produce universal designs mainly with a leading Japanese culture of casting works.
